Quick description

The Black Boy is a 16th-century property which features a traditional bar and restaurant which overlooks Sudbury's historic market square. A freshly cooked breakfast is on offer, and a private car park is located at the rear of the hotel. Following a complete refurbishment in September 2012, The Black Boy offers 9 en-suite rooms with en suite facilities, a welcome tray and flat-screen digital TVs. The bar offers traditional ales and character, while the restaurant serves home-cooked traditional dishes. The railway station, bus station, and Quay Theatre are all just a 5-minute walk away, while Gainsborough's House is 300 metres along the road. Bury St. Edmunds, Ipswich and Colchester are only a 30 minute drive away.

Important information

The restaurant only serves food until 17:00 on Sundays. Rooms overlooking the Market Square may experience some noise on Thursday and Saturday mornings whilst the market is set up.
